HERCULES – permanent formwork with base and legs up to h130 cm
Hercules is an innovative permanent formwork made of 100% recycled plastic, designed for the construction of ventilated crawl spaces, adaptable to a wide range of height requirements.
Unlike Granchio, this element is composed of a base and legs. The interlocking system between these two components is simple and intuitive, yet provides great strenght to Hercules. This allows it to withstand the weight of operators and concrete during installation and casting, ensuring maximum safety at all times.
Hercules can reach a height of up to 130 cm, leaving ample space for the passage of all building systems. Thanks to ventilation pipes channeling outward, it guarantees the dispersion of radon gas and rising damp into the atmosphere, in compliance with the Recommendation of the European Commission dated 21/02/1990.

HERCULES

ADVANTAGES
CONCRETE SAVINGS
Significant savings in concrete and reinforcing steel thanks to the considerable weight reduction.
RADON GAS PROTECTION
In compliance with the European Commission Recommendation of 21/02/90, crawl spaces built with the Hercules permanent formwork ensure excellent ventilation through dedicated pipes, eliminating humidity and dispersing radon gas.
SINGLE CASTING
The special interlocking system between Base and Legs makes installation easy and fast. The strength of the Legs ensures stability, enabling a single concrete casting with complete safety and time savings.
SAFETY DURING INSTALLATION AND CASTING
As a permanent formwork, Hercules is designed to withstand the weight of operators and concrete during the casting phase. The permissible overload varies depending on the thickness of the slab and the underlying lean concrete.
ELIMINATION OF RISING DAMP
Creates a vapor barrier, eliminating contact points between concrete and soil, and ensuring breathability of perimeter walls.
EASY PERIMETER CLOSURES
Hercules is composed of a base and legs joined by a simple and intuitive interlocking system that ensures high strength and structural stability.

The Hercules family of elements generates no waste: all cut pieces can be reused by placing them on opposite sides.
The installation steps are as follows (see INSTALLATION SCHEME):
- Let X1 (4.90 m) and Y1 (5.90 m) be the dimensions of the area to be covered;
- Let X2 (4.50 m) and Y2 (5.25 m) be the dimensions of the central block sides, multiples of our 50 × 75 cm element;
- Subtract X2 and Y2 from X1 and Y1 respectively: X1 – X2 = 0.40 m; Y1 – Y2 = 0.65 m;
- Divide these results by two, obtaining the dimensions of the cut bases to be placed on the perimeter of the central block.

A1) The lean concrete casting must be R.c.K. 150 with a thickness of ... cm to create the installation base for the permanent formwork called Hercules.
A2) For loads higher than 4000 Kg/Sqm and/or for buildings in seismic areas, the subbase must be R.c.K 150 with 06 welded mesh, 10x10 spacing.
B) Supply and dry installation on the prepared base of rectangular permanent formwork in plastic, type Hercules, cm ... Installation must follow the directional arrows.
C) Supply and installation of reinforcement consisting of 06 welded mesh, 20x20 spacing.
D) Supply and casting of R.c.K. 250 concrete to fill Hercules and create a slab of ... cm thickness.
Note: When building a finished floor slab, it is advisable to carry out the concrete casting in two phases. 1st phase: filling the legs and leveling the element; 2nd phase: casting of the finished slab.
Afterward, «EXPANSION JOINTS» should be made at intervals of about 4x4 m.
Hercules may show noticeable color variations due to the use of recycled plastics.
