Project For Building presents the 2024 Sustainability Report

Project For Building presents its first Sustainability Report, a document that makes transparent a journey that began long before the topic became an industry trend.
For us, sustainability is not an added element, but an integral part of our production model, as well as a source of inspiration: we have been recycling plastic for construction and turning waste into resource since the 1990s.
The Report was prepared with the methodological support of Tecno ESG and drafted according to the VSME standard for SMEs, used to measure the environmental, social and governance impacts of business activities. It is an internationally recognised tool and highly relevant for foreign markets and for public tenders with a strong technical focus in the sustainable construction sector.
“The work on the sustainability report was carried out with method and energy by the whole company - says our IT Manager and Marketing Manager Giada Zanini - In particular, we would like to thank the commercial and technical departments for their availability and concrete contribution.”
The key points of the Report
Among the initiatives reported and confirmed in 2024:
- Circular economy at the heart of the production model: Project For Building transforms plastic waste into regenerated products certified Plastica Seconda Vita.
- Energy efficiency and self-sufficiency: a 1,118 kWp photovoltaic system and a trigeneration plant for the combined production of electrical and thermal energy.
- A closed-loop water cooling system, allowing the full reuse of the fluid and the reduction of industrial consumption.
- Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for Safe-Roll and Granchio, verified by an independent third-party body.
- UNI/PdR 125 Gender Equality Certification achieved in 2024.
- Compliance with the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) as an integral part of the production model and the selection of raw materials in both public and private tenders.
For us, sustainability therefore has both an industrial and a social dimension. Thanks to continuous research, we have made possible a unique process in our sector, with 100% plastic recycling.
Through careful resource management, we power our facility with energy from renewable sources, manage every stage of production in-house and monitor water and energy consumption on an annual basis.
A result rooted in company culture
The 2024 Sustainability Report does not capture a sudden change, but a structural evolution. It is, in fact, the formalisation of an approach that was already well established.
Many years ago, our company chose to invest in three pillars that form the basis of our growth and development:
- innovation
- circular economy
- environmental performance
For Project For Building, this document is not an end point, but a foundation from which to move forward towards future goals that are already clearly defined: expansion of the photovoltaic system, new solutions for improving energy efficiency and investments in more sustainable production technologies.
More and more designers, construction companies and partners are looking for certified solutions and manufacturers that adopt ESG criteria, CAM requirements and recycled materials for construction. This Report represents a guarantee for the entire supply chain, from raw materials through to the finished product.
“It took months to prepare this document, but the result fills us with pride because it tells the story of all our choices to promote a truly circular economy”adds Giancarlo Zanini, CEO of Project For Building, confirming our pragmatic yet enthusiastic approach.
It is proof that sustainability, when it is real and measurable, generates not only environmental value, but also economic and competitive value.
So all that remains is for you to take a look at our 2024 Sustainability Report and build, together with us, a construction industry that is truly greener 🌿
